Planning flights a long way in advance will generally throw up misleadingly high costs, but we have found that at about 6 weeks before departure day, the prices fall significantly. It is at that point that the carriers start to panic a bit if they have not filled all of the seats. However, prices soon start to rise again as people begin to book!
